THE MASTERY OF LOVE

If there’s one book you decide to pick up from reading these reviews, this should be the book. I think if everyone tried to implement the ideas of this book, there would be a lot more authentic relationships out there alongside less relationships based out of fear. And this book isn’t a full on dating book if that’s what you’re thinking. I know you probably rolled your eyes when you read the title but I promise you it’s not as bad as it seems. When it boils down to it this book is showing you how to worry about your own half throughout all of your relationships whether it be friends, family, or our partners. Showing you how to wake up and avoid the traps that come with most relationships. Helps give a better understanding of self love and understand that until we wakeup from this “dream” as Don Miguel puts it, we’re only going to keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again. Honestly this is one of my favorite books and just finished it for a third time getting ready for this review. It’s a quick read, practical book, and you don’t have to kill yourself trying to decipher the hidden message chapter after chapter. So that being said, there’s no reason you shouldn’t grab this book. Trust me on this one. I got you.

Standouts: “If you go into a relationship with selfishness, expecting that your partner is going to make you happy, it will not happen. And it’s not that person’s fault; it’s your own.”

“Whoever does something to us, forget it, that’s it, she is out our life. It becomes a war of pride. Why? Because our personal importance grows when we don’t forgive. It makes our opinion more important when we can say, “Whatever she does, I will not forgive her. What she did is unforgivable.  The real problem is pride. Because of pride, because of honor, we add more fire to the injustice to remind ourselves that we cannot forgive.
